Delete Your Account
This page explains how to request deletion of your Rideshare Companion account and what happens to your data.
How to Delete Your Account
Open Rideshare Companion
Launch the Rideshare Companion app on your iOS or Android device. Make sure you are signed in to the account you wish to delete.
Navigate to Account
Tap the "Account" tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Tap Delete Account
Scroll to the bottom of the Account screen and tap the "Delete Account" button.
Confirm Deletion
Type "DELETE" in the confirmation field and tap "Delete My Account" to permanently delete your account.
Alternative: If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing [email protected] from your registered email address. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line.
Data That Will Be Deleted
When you delete your Rideshare Companion account, the following data will be permanently deleted:

| Location history (if enabled) | Immediate |
| Authentication credentials | Immediate |
Data Retention Policy
Backup Copies
System backups containing your data may be retained for up to 30 days after deletion for disaster recovery purposes. These backups are automatically purged after this period.
Retention period: 30 days maximum
Transaction Records
If you had an active subscription, basic transaction records (purchase date, amount) may be retained for accounting and legal compliance purposes.
Retention period: Up to 7 years (as required by law)
Anonymized Analytics
Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes. This data contains no personal information.
Retention period: Indefinite (non-identifiable)
Important: About Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. To stop future charges, you must cancel your subscription through:

- •Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions
